2011 Mazda 3
Mileage179,517Service Date7/9/2025Services Performed- Confirmed AC Compressor was not engaging. Checked for engine fan operation and found the fan was not running. Checked for power and ground to the fan and found AC Condenser fan was not plugged in. Plugged in fan and found that the AC Compressor and Blower Motor Fan only operated on High and very little air flow from vents. Removed blower motor and blower motor resistor and found insulation debris from apparent rodent nest. Removed all possible debris from HVAC box under dash. Tested blower motor resistor and found internally shorted. Replaced blower motor resistor and fan and compressor operated normally. Checked vent temperature at AC MAX and found temperature too warm. Checked AC Pressures and found AC Pressure low. Recovered, Evacuated, and Recharged AC system with 1.1 lbs of refrigerant and AC vent temperature is 38 degrees.
- BLOWER MOTOR RESISTOR – Remove & Replace
- Found Shock mount loose in rear and rattling. Remove and Replace both rear shocks
- AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM – Complete Charge – [Includes: Air Conditioning system recover, evacuate and recharge.]
